The Texas IPv6 Task Force (TXv6TF) announces its Winter 2012 IPv6 Summit in Richardson, Texas. This event will occur November 19-20, 2012 on the campus of The University of Texas at Dallas. This event is free, but pre-registration is required. Come back to register starting October 1, 2012.

RIPE in Europe runs dry…

On 14 September 2012, the RIPE NCC essentially ran out of IPv4 addresses. They began to allocate IPv4 address space from the last /8 of IPv4 address with a very restrictive policy. Next in turn is ARIN. ARIN’s supply of IPv4 addresses is expected to last about 1 year.
